At Albert Park & Port Melbourne Baptist Church we are blessed with a number of talented musicians and singers who give of their time to help us worship. Our music style is mainly contemporary, featuring piano, guitars, keyboard, drums & woodwind instruments. We welcome anybody with an interest in music, a love for God, and a passion for worship to come along and join us. We rehearse most Thursday nights at the church from 8 – 10pm. For those with an interest in singing, we have a once-a-month choir that rehearses on Thursday night and performs during the Worship Service on the following Sunday morning. Our items range from traditional melodies with beautiful harmonies to contemporary worship songs. Our choir size varies from month to month, ranging from 3 to 15 people! We also perform at the local Community Carols event. Our PA/Media operators are vital members of our music teams. We rely on them to make us sound good! They are responsible for sound production on Sunday mornings, as well as controlling the powerpoint slide presentations. Anybody with a desire to serve God and an interest in technical gizmos is welcome to come along and get involved.
