Graeme & Dawn Taylor joined the Pioneers Australia cross-cultural team in 2007 to work in the small land-locked country of Lesotho in Africa where the high incidence of HIV/Aids presents an enormous challenge. It has been said Lesotho is becoming a nation of children with so many parents sick and dying! For Graeme and Dawn their prior pastoral work and child-care training and experience has equipped them well for this ministry of love and care that God has called them to. Graeme and Dawn have a grown up family and four grandchildren. |
| OPENaid International led by Justin Whitecross, is an independent Christian organisation with a heart for the impoverished, abused and exploited women and young girls of Thailand and Burma. To achieve change, OPENaid has developed practical educational, microfinance development and psychological programs which are delivered in schools, villages and slums. With God’s help these programs provide the poorest and most in need with an opportunity to rise above their impoverished circumstances and realise a new life of dignity, self-worth and hope as God intended. Bi Monthly Indian Cooking classes are also conducted to raise funds for OPENaid. |

Julie McKay joined the Papua New Guinea team of Wycliffe Bible Translators in the latter part of last year and since then has been undergoing orientation work, language research and the new experience of village life-style with its health hurdles, eg. Malaria. Preparation for this type of work takes time, patience and persistent dedication which Julie is enthusiastically embracing as part of the challenge of God’s call in her life. |
| Andrew & Wendy have recently been accepted by the Global Interaction South East Asia team and will later this year move where they will live and work among a population group of some 600,000 people. They will focus on language and cultural learning and look for opportunities to meet local needs and build community relationships. Andrew is currently a town planner. M.S.G (Mission Support Group)
The aim of the M.S.G is to add interest and support to Global Missions within our Church, and as we are able, give friendship and assistance to our missionaries. The M.S.G meets monthly on a Wednesday night for up to date prayer for our missionaries and for planning Church presentations, projects and additional ways to support missions. This group welcomes all who have a heart to make Christ known throughout the world.
If you would like to know more about missions or the M.S.G or would like to make a donation, please contact the Church Office on ph. (03) 9699 8407 or email us at admin[at]albertpark.org.au.
